Tesla has announced a recall of nearly 120,000 vehicles over doors opening while driving.
The issue, discovered during a routine crash test this month, causes some doors on Tesla‘s Models S and X to open while they move. The problem seems to occur only when the doors are unlocked.
Tesla said it’s unaware of any injuries caused by the malfunction and has already sent out an over-the-air update to the affected vehicles. Customers can expect to be notified if their car is affected by February.
This week’s notice is in addition to an earlier recall of over 2 million of Tesla‘s vehicles over concerns with self-driving.
Recalls don’t usually mean the same thing at the electric vehicle giant that they do at other automakers. While Honda and other more traditional automakers have customers bring their cars into facilities, Tesla usually issues a remote update fixing the issue.
