“Nigel Farage Hints at Joining I’m A Celeb in Australia”

Nigel Farage has been pictured arriving in Australia amid speculation he is about to take part in this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The former UKIP and Brexit party leader was pictured arriving on Sunday at Brisbane Airport – around 100 miles from the jungle campsite where the popular ITV show is filmed.

Other famous faces rumoured to be joining the ITV show who have been seen arriving in the country include This Morning presenter Josie Gibson and First Dates star Fred Sirieix.

Actress Jamie-Lynn Spears, the sister of singer Britney Spears, is also rumoured to be among those taking part in this year’s series.

Mr Farage – a love-him-or-loathe-him figure in British politics – previously said he had turned down multiple requests since 2016 to head into the Australian jungle.

However, after landing in Brisbane, he reportedly told MailOnline he was “someone who might be going into” the popular reality show.

He added: “I can’t confirm I’m doing it… I just think there’s a big… audience out there that watches the programme (who are), actually, people… worth talking to.”

On his GB News show last month, he said he was considering an appearance on the show to “connect” with a younger audience.

I’m A Celeb producers are yet to announce the official line-up for this year’s show.

However, Mr Farage would be following in the footsteps of a number of high-profile – and often controversial – politicians who have entered the I’m A Celeb jungle.

Former health secretary Matt Hancock came third in the 2022 series – which became the second most complained-about TV event of last year, according to Ofcom.

Ex-Conservative MP and former culture secretary Nadine Dorries took part in the 2012 show – but was the first celebrity to be voted out.

Other politicians who have entered the jungle include former Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik and ex-SNP leader Kezia Dugdale.

The show’s presenters, Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, confirmed this year’s series is set to begin on Sunday 19 November at 9pm.
