“The Year’s Best Historical Fiction” on Dec. 10 referred imprecisely to James McBride’s novel “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.” It takes place between the 1920s and 1970s. It does not take place just in the 1950s.
A picture caption with the Visuals feature on Dec. 17 referred incorrectly to the “Jikji,” a 1377 Korean collection of Buddhist teachings. It is the world’s oldest extant book printed with movable metal type. It is not the world’s oldest extant book.
